Relativistic bulk viscous fluids of Burgers type and their presence in neutron stars

Abstract It is well known that a mixture of two chemical components undergoing one reaction bulk viscous fluid, where the stress evolves according to Israel-Stewart theory. Here, we show three independent distinct reactions can also be viewed as whose now governed by second-order differential equation which reproduces Burgers model for viscoelasticity. This rigorous and physically motivated example fluid does not undergo simple Maxwell-Cattaneo relaxation, actually overshoot Navier-Stokes stress. We that, if accounts muons, neutron star matter indeed type.
